Embracing the Future: BAKU’s RFID-driven omnichannel transformation.
BAKU leverages Ramp’s RFID solution for inventory visibility, strengthening their omnichannel strategy.
Overview
BAKU’s path to omnichannel excellence
BAKU, a cherished Australian swimwear brand, operates 13 stores across Australia and enjoys a presence in over 450 worldwide outlets. Aiming to optimise their operations for an omnichannel future, BAKU was faced with the challenge of efficiently managing and counting a vast number of SKUs. The brand sought a solution that would not only streamline inventory management but also prepare them for increased online sales.
The problem
BAKU’s inventory challenge: Accurate counts for thousands of SKUs.
With three seasons per year, offering numerous styles, colours, and sizes, BAKU manages approximately 5,000 SKUs annually and 20,000 SKUs at any given time. The task of maintaining accurate stock counts throughout the supply chain was a daunting challenge. Ensuring adequate stock availability to avoid out-of-stocks and boost sales became crucial in the pursuit of their omnichannel strategy.
The solution
Introducing Ramp’s RFID retail solution, revolutionising BAKU’s inventory management.
Ramp implemented an RFID solution that provided comprehensive inventory visibility, from manufacturing to warehouse and retail stores. This integrated system included RFID tags attached during manufacturing, handheld RFID readers for faster, more accurate stocktakes, and an RFID order station for outgoing order validation. Ramp’s software underpinned this end-to-end solution, which also seamlessly integrated with BAKU’s new Retail Express POS System.
Impactful Results: BAKU’s omnichannel
strategy enhanced.
Ramp’s RFID solution delivered remarkable improvements in BAKUs inventory management.
“The Ramp RFID solution makes inventory tracking infinitely better than before. Product moves rapidly through the supply chain with our local manufacturing we can restock fast moving lines more quickly to maximise sales.”
